They see signs that the road is closed, but after ignoring the danger, one of the cars goes off a bridge and lands upside down in the water. Mary Henry, one of the young women in the car, crawls out of the lake unharmed. She tries to get back to her life, preparing for a new job as a church organist in Utah. She begins the long trek to her new job, but as night falls, things begin to change for the worse as she sees mind-bending visions and horrifying things begin to happen...
